Hey, have you heard about the Chevron Blanket crochet pattern? It’s like the MVP for us crocheters, especially when it comes to making adorable baby blankets. Just imagine the brownie points you’d score with such a sweet and thoughtful baby shower gift, right?

These Chevron blankets are a breeze to whip up, and the end result is this cozy crochet masterpiece with cool stripe vibes thanks to the color changes. The standard size is 27.5″ x 30.5″, but here’s the kicker – you can easily adjust the stitch pattern to make it smaller or larger.

When I tried this as one of my first easy baby blanket patterns, it was a total win. The project was a blast, and the end result?

Cutest thing ever. I loved that it used basic crochet stitches, so I didn’t spend a ton of time learning new ones.

I even got a bit creative with the colors to match the upcoming baby’s vibe. And here’s the twist – I made one as a throw blanket too. Yep, I made one for myself in a solid color for my bedroom.

Next, let’s dive into another fantastic crochet afghan pattern that’s perfect for beginners to make. This pattern is super customizable – you can adjust it to fit whatever size you want. The best part is that it features a simple 2-row repeat, making it an easy project to work on, especially when you’re on the move.

The yarn I used, along with the texture, gives the blanket this gorgeous beachy vibe. With easy stitches, it’s the perfect pattern to make in different blanket size options.

For this particular project, I opted for Yarnspirations Caron Big Cakes in Blue Macaron, but feel free to use any #4 worsted weight yarn that catches your eye.

Have you heard about our friend Kim’s recent crochet project, the Finley Throw? What’s unique about it is that it features vertical stripes instead of the usual horizontal design.

It’s a cool combination of two stitches that play off each other, giving it a sleek, modern vibe with a lovely texture for these beautiful blankets.

The best part? This square blanket is a speedy project, perfect for those cool summer evenings when you just want the right amount of coziness.

And here’s the bonus: the pattern comes with a ton of resources to help you create these crochet afghans, including video tutorial, and PDF photos to guide you through the whole process.

To whip up this beauty, all you need is a few skeins of yarn: Lion Brand Pound of Love yarn and a 6mm/J crochet hook size.

She made a beautiful baby blanket that made the perfect gift for her nephew and nieces new baby that arrives in just a few months.

I’ve found this amazing afghan blanket tutorial that guides you through creating a super quick and oversized chenille throw – and let me tell you, when made with the right yarn, this afghan crochet pattern is so comfy and perfect for a baby blanket.

The best part? It has this thick ribbed texture that adds an extra layer of warmth due to the type of yarn recommended.

Our friend Michelle was the perfect person to try out this pattern, and she absolutely loved it. It uses simple crochet stitches and is an easy blanket pattern that you’ll adore having this winter. You can totally use different colors and customize it to match your home decor.

And here’s the kicker – the tutorial isn’t just words on a page. Nope, it’s packed with photos that show you exactly where your hook should be, how to navigate those stitches, the ins and outs of a chain, and the lowdown on working in the back loops.

Plus, it spills the beans on joining new yarn and weaving in those pesky ends.

The best part? It’s beginner-friendly! If you’ve got the basics of chaining and working single crochet stitches down, you’re golden, and you will have a beautiful blanket that makes the perfect baby shower gift.

This crochet baby afghan looks like it would take a ton of time, but it’s really just squares measuring a  perfect 4″x4″ (10×10 cm) square. You will need a 5mm crochet hook.

Here’s what I LOVE about this pattern: there are nine different sizes to choose from. For the little ones, you’ve got stroller, crib, and child sizes.

And for the bigger kids and adults, there’s lap quilt, throw, twin, queen, and king sizes.  You don’t see this in most crochet blanket pattern pieces.

Additionally, she uses basic crochet stitches for this cozy blanket. That is my kind of pattern. I can easily do dc stitches, slip stitch, double crochet stitches and other simple stitches. If you are a beginner, don’t be intimidated by the amazing texture, just follow the pattern.

With 9 patterns, we are guessing you found at least a little crochet baby blanket patterns to make.

All the options and so much fun to make. If you have a pattern you want us to review, let us know in the comments.
