Gingerbread Instructions

  • R1: magic ring, 3ch, 10dc, sl st on the 1st dc [10]
  • R2: 3ch, (inc*10), sl st on the 1st dc [20]
  • R3: 3ch, (inc*20), sl st on the 1st dc [40]
  • R4: 3ch, (dc, inc)*20, sl st on the 1st dc [60]

If you’d like to make a coaster, simply cut the yarn and weave in the end.
If you’d prefer a Christmas ornament, create a hanging loop by chaining a length of yarn.

Add the icing using surface crochet.

Insert 8mm safety eyes — or use black felt instead if you’re making a coaster.
Embroider the mouth and blush with red yarn.

Bow Instructions

  • start with a slip knot, make 17ch.
  • skip the 1st ch, start from the 2nd ch, make:
  • (sl st, sc, hdc, dc 2x, hdc, sc, sl st)*2
  • move to the other side of the ch, make:
  • (sl st, sc, hdc, dc 2x, hdc, sc, sl st)*2

Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Stitch the two edges together, then wrap the yarn around the center of the bow 5–6 times.
Secure the end and sew the bow onto the gingerbread.
