Crochet 2 circles using these instructions:

R1: 6sc in mr (6)

R2: inc x 6 (12)

R3 (sc, inc) x 6 (18)

R4 (2sc, inc) x 6 (24)

R5: (3sc, inc) x 6 (30)

Go ahead and cut the yarn and finish off (FO. Make sure and don’t cut the yarn as you will continue to your points.

Before making your points, place safety eyes between R3 and R4. You are over half way finished with your chunky star crochet pattern.

Star Points

Place the insides on top of each other and place a stitch mark every 6 stitches through both circles and then follow these instructions to start the first point.

R1: 6sc, remove the stitch marker and turn the star over to the opposite side. Next, crochet another 6sc (12)

R2: (2 sc, dec) x 3 (9)

R3: (sc, dec) x 3 (6

Now cut your yarn, finish off and close the hole.

To finish off your other points, connect your yarn to the next section of 6sc and then in your first sc of R1 use 2 chain stitches.

Use the same point instructions above for all your points. Make sure and stuff your star before you close up your hole.
