Easy Crochet Dishcloth Pattern

This easy crochet dishcloth pattern is a great beginner crochet pattern. You only need a few supplies, and the size of the finished dishcloth will depend on your guage.

Instructions for Crochet Dishcloth

Pattern (worked in multiples of 2): Foundation: Ch 34.

 Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Dc in next ch, sc in next ch. Repeat from * to * across. Turn. (33 sts) 

 Row 2: Ch 1. Sc in the same st at the base of the ch-1. Dc in next dc, sc in next sc. 

Repeat from * to * across. 

Turn. 

 Repeat Row 2 until the piece measures about 8″ from the beginning (approximately 29 rows). 

Turn.

Border â€“ Ch 1, sc in the same stitch at the base of the ch-1. Sc in each stitch across. Work 3 sc in the corner. 

Sc evenly down the first side of the cloth. 

Work 3 sc in the next corner. Sc in each chain along the starting edge. 

Work 3 sc in the next corner. Sc evenly up the second side. Sc in the final corner. Sl st to the first sc of the round. 

Turn. 

 Second Round â€“ Ch 1, sc in the same stitch at the base of the ch-1. Ch 3, skip next sc, sc in the next sc. Repeat from * to * around. Sl st to the first sc. Fasten off. 

Finishing â€“ Weave in and trim all yarn ends.
