We had to start with this cute Easter basket. It also comes with a pattern for Easter eggs. You can simply change the colors from pink to blue if you are needing a boy basket instead of a girly basket. 

The pattern uses basic crochet skills. You will specifically need to know how to do the following crochet stitches 

 slip stitch, chain stitch, single crochet stitches, double crochet, half double crochet/half treble crochet, double crochet/treble crochet, basic increase and decrease and magic circle.

You could also do this in different sizes by simply changing your hook size. Susan I believe made at least 5 of these on our last count. She used different colors including the green yarn shown but also some bright colors.

She is passionate about helping those at her local Children’s hospital so she and a few other ladies, got together and made one for each kid. They added the bunnies and eggs and some a few plastic egg filled with toys and candy.
