I send out an email when we are looking for crochet patterns to see if anyone wants to create and review the pattern, and Sally jumped right on it.

Her daughter has chickens, and she had been looking for a super cute Christmas stocking idea, so she made it.

It turned out adorable. She said it uses basic crochet stitches, but you definitely want to have your stitch markers handy so that you keep up with your start area.

Her finished product ended up so cute, and we can’t wait to see her daughters’ reaction.

This pattern is such a great example of how just changing the yarn produced a totally different look. It is literally the same pattern but 3 different hens. This pattern on Etsy has over 3000 positive reviews which says a ton.

I love the black and white little chick. They made a sweet nursery decor or for a home with chicken decor.

Claire made the pattern for us and her comments cracked me up. I made 2 and then loved them so much and everyone else loved them so much, I now have over 10.

Too bad, they don’t lay eggs.  She also said you may want to use a little bigger hook if the Bernat yarn is hard for you to use.

We also said these would be cute in an Easter basket. You could use an Easter color and add the candy and goodies, but that would be something super cute.

Jackie also said she has made these before for a craft show, and they sell really well. People love these chickens and typically make their own chicken family from these Amigurumi chicken patterns.

We have someone making this pattern, but when we say Kirsten’s Etsy review of her crocheted chickens, we fell in love.

The solid white option is awesome but she did the body of the chicken in different colors and man are these crochet chickens adorable.

The finished chicken looks so cute as her potholder and are the perfect gift for chicken lovers.

For someone with a farmhouse kitchen, this may become their favorite chicken.  Sarah is our farmhouse gal and she made the pattern and actually changed the main color of the chicken to a black yarn with specs of white from the shown white yarn.

She said the chick crochet pattern was pretty simple to make and can easily be done in a weekend. She did include black safety eyes on her chicken.
