Sarah was so excited to make this pattern. She used a beautiful multicolored yarn with purples and it turned out beautiful.  She did note that if you are making your own bag, that this shouldn’t be your first project.

It does use basic stitches, but it has a lot of instructions and might be overwhelming for a very beginner crocheter.

Crochet Beach Bag

Crochet Bag Pattern: Crochet Beach Bag

Crochet Skill Levels: Beginner-Experienced Crocheters

These beach bags are super fun to make and practical. Toss in your towel, a good book and of course some sunscreen, and you can be off to the beach or a farmer’s market.

These crochet bags use simple crochet stitches like sl st  and can easily be done in different colors. The best thing is you can easily toss in the washing machine and let air dry if it needs cleaned.

So, let me tell you about Jackie – she’s a real crochet whiz! Recently, she decided to take on a crochet beach bag pattern that was just right for advanced beginners.

Armed with a fiery red yarn and an adventurous spirit, she dove into the project. What really impressed her was the tutorial that came with the pattern.

It was chock-full of step-by-step photos and handy tips, making the whole process a breeze to follow.

As Jackie worked her magic with the yarn, she found the pattern to be super beginner-friendly, thanks to the detailed instructions and visual aids.

The abundance of helpful tips sprinkled throughout the tutorial made her crochet journey even more enjoyable.

With each stitch, she could see the beach bag taking shape before her eyes, and she was over the moon with how it was turning out in that striking red color.

Once Jackie finished crocheting the beach bag, she was absolutely thrilled with the outcome. The combination of her skills and the well-crafted pattern resulted in a stylish and practical accessory that she couldn’t wait to show off.

Crocheted Tote Bag

Crochet bag pattern: Crocheted Tote Bag

  • Crochet skill levels:  Intermediate
  • Yarn: Lion Brand Rewind Tape Yarn

For this pattern, you will need to be comfortable with front post double crochet stitches. Definitely not a beginner bag but you can make it in so many different colors.

If you are newer to this front post double crochet stitches are a type of crochet stitch that is worked around the post of the stitch from the previous row rather than into the top loops of the stitch.

To make a front post double crochet, you yarn over, insert your hook from front to back and then from back to front around the post of the stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through two loops on the hook, yarn over and pull through the remaining two loops on the hook.

This creates a raised texture on the front side of the fabric, and is often used to create ribbing or textured patterns in crochet projects.

She has includes videos on YouTube to walk you through the entire process which we love having a video tutorial. Crochet tote bags are the perfect bag for everyday and this crochet tote bag pattern will not disappoint.

We saw in reviews that so many people gave this bag as a special gift because it’s such a cute pattern. You can easily change out the colors for a single crochet color or use bright colors for a bag that is sure to get a ton of compliments.

Sarah did this crochet bag project as she is amazing at more complicated stitches. It turned out to be a beautiful bag as she used some browns and yellows.

All are a solid color but with color woven in. She said, to definitely practice the front post double crochet stitches before beginning but also said the video tutorials is a great option to walk if you get stuck.

You will need to get good a holding 2 strands of yarn at one time. i would say this crocheted bag takes practice to make, but is the right size for an everyday bag using your 9 mm crochet hook.

I honestly haven’t seen a bag like this ever on social media and love it. This purse crochet pattern is great for beginners that this isn’t your first project.

You can create a beautifully textured, luxury bag using a wonderfully simple pattern that features classic crochet stitches.

This bag is worked flat and in the round, so you won’t need to worry about sewing any seams.

It’s the perfect bag according to Joanne. She made this crochet purse pattern for us, and the good news is she loves it.

This bag is adorable and when I asked who wanted to review the pattern, I had several people who said yes.

Kim did a beautiful bag, and we loved how it turned out. First, who doesn’t love a drawstring bag. So many functions and this bag has a lining which is so nice.

She said looks were deceiving. It’s granny squares but with a little more instructions, especially when assembling. She said to take your time and you can totally create this bag.

The Sak Crochet Bag

  • Crochet skill levels:  Beginner to Experienced Crocheters

When I first looked at this picture, it looked intimidating, but I loved the look of the bag. After I downloaded the pattern, I started working on it using some brown tones and found that it was easier than it looked.

I always read the reviews for a product before purchasing, and they all said the same thing, I found it fun as a beginner and her instructions are well written.

My 2nd ch I did have to rip out because I didn’t use my stitch marker.

I also noticed from the photos that the bag looks like different styles simply by changing the color of the yarn.

A more solid color vs using multicolored yarn. I like both and can see myself making several for different seasons.
