These beginner crochet patterns are so much fun to make. Hey everyone, this is Connie and I wanted to put together some of my favorite easy patterns.

I am new to crochet and still working on my basic stitches. There are a ton of video tutorial for crochet, but I wanted to try my hand at some patterns, but I definitely needed basic crochet stitches. Here are my 9 favorite patterns I have bought and made. 

So, all of these are a great way for new crocheters to work on a simple pattern without doing the same chains again and again or only having granny squares projects to show for my finished product.

I love the farmhouse look and love the simplicity of this crochet dishcloth. You can create your very own Farmhouse Dish Cloth with this easy crochet pattern.

It’s a great place to start for your first project. The finished dishcloth measures approximately 5 inches in width and 5.5 inches in length. The pattern is written in U.S. crochet terms.

Materials You Will Need:

It took me about an hour to complete this great project, and then I got hooked and ended up making several for my house. I am even making some for Christmas for family members. It’s one of the easiest thing to make.

This placemat was the perfect pattern to work on my crocheting skills in different ways.  These would make great gifts for a wedding shower. I found it to be the perfect project to make something a little bigger. 

It ended up being a quick project taking me about 1.5 hours to complete. After I finished it I was more confident in crochet basics,

  6. Red chenille slim or lite, about 2 yards
  7. Scrap of yellow yarn, preferably chenille or blanket, but worsted weight will suffice.

  2. I’m trying to find free pattern of dish cloths can you help me?

  3. Is the crochet hook size of 5.5 mm correct on the stuffed chicken pattern? The yarn size is 6 with a suggested needle size of 8 mm. I tried using a 5.5 mm hook and it was so tight. I’m currently trying with a 6.5 mm hook and it’s still tight but not as bad. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you for the pattern, they are so cute!!!

    1. That pattern is super cute Make sure and check the pattern itself for the actual measurement. How tight your stitches are matter also.
