These beginner crochet patterns are so much fun to make. Hey everyone, this is Connie and I wanted to put together some of my favorite easy patterns.
I am new to crochet and still working on my basic stitches. There are a ton of video tutorial for crochet, but I wanted to try my hand at some patterns, but I definitely needed basic crochet stitches. Here are my 9 favorite patterns I have bought and made.
So, all of these are a great way for new crocheters to work on a simple pattern without doing the same chains again and again or only having granny squares projects to show for my finished product.

Is the crochet hook size of 5.5 mm correct on the stuffed chicken pattern? The yarn size is 6 with a suggested needle size of 8 mm. I tried using a 5.5 mm hook and it was so tight. I’m currently trying with a 6.5 mm hook and it’s still tight but not as bad. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you for the pattern, they are so cute!!!
That pattern is super cute Make sure and check the pattern itself for the actual measurement. How tight your stitches are matter also.
