Joining the Two Pieces

Place both circles together with the wrong sides facing each other.

Working through both layers:

  • Chain 1.
  • Work 3 double crochet into the first stitch.
  • Slip stitch into the next stitch.
  • Repeat (3 dc in one stitch, sl st in next stitch) around the entire ornament.

This creates the decorative scalloped edge.

Helpful Tip: If the stitches on both circles don’t line up perfectly, use a large yarn needle to gently poke through both pieces. This makes it much easier to see where to insert your hook.

Do not cut the white yarn yet.
